Flight Simulator Games Bring the News to Life
Flight simulator games can bring the news to life. Many subjects
and locations are discussed in the news and on television, in books and
magazines, and of course in everyday conversations. With flight
simulator games, it is possible to visit these locations and spur an
interest in learning more. This article explores that relationship
between having knowledge of an area and developing an interest in things
that happen in that location.
One of the advantages that I had as a young student was travel. It may have been limited by the standards of today, but it was extensive for the time and has inspired my interest to this day. When it comes to discussions of the federal government my recollection of the Capital and the White House drove my desire to study it. When the discussion turned to George Washington, my recollection of Mt Vernon kicked in. Be it the Boy Scout Jamboree in Valley Forge, PA or Colorado Springs, CO having some knowledge of the area gave those particular sites and those in the vicinity life.
With flight simulator games, it is possible to visit locations without leaving home. While it is not possible to feel the ground under your feet, the interest generated by the visit and access to the internet it is possible to explore the sites in great detail once the interest is generated. I find it interesting to fly to or over locations that pop up in the news. While it is possible to do some of the things with a simple globe or map it seems to bring a greater degree of realism to know how to get there, how far it is from this town or that landmark. It helps memorize it when the detail that is available with the optional maps is included in the experience.
Often when a place is mentioned on the news I may have some idea where it is, but often it comes with some surprise as to its exact location. Seeing the location and detail of the area it is often possible to get a feel of what it is like to live there. Is it near a river, lake or stream? Is it in the mountains or is the area desert like? All of these things add to the interest that can be developed about a location and this works for locations in this country and anywhere in the world.
If something comes up about the Eiffel Tower, The English Channel, The Panama Canal, Egypt, you quickly discover that they are locations that can be explored. Locations with similar sounding names like Portland, Maine or Portland, Oregon or even places that look more like typos like such as Oregon, Wisconsin are all locations that can be explored. When you can put a face on a location, you can develop an interest in what goes on there, the people and the location. While the maps do not update as soon as an event happens, it adds to the experience to know where the latest tornadoes or hurricanes are causing destruction and interruption in the lives of people. Locate that new plant opening with new jobs? It is possible to get a feel for exactly where it is located.
Keep yourself and those you love in the game. Have fun while exploring the planet that we share with all the other people on earth. With a flight simulator game, you can get in the game. Visit my site on flight simulator games and explore more of my articles.

Wholesale Video Games Business - Industry News
Looking for a profitable wholesale video games eBay business
experience? There are literally thousands of re-sellers in the search of
wholesale games for immediate 10-20% profit for re-sell at auction
sites. A modest profit could be 10-20% at auction sites depending who is
your buying source.
Now, there is a massive confusion of the realities of re-selling for consistent profits and providing a dropshipping service to your clients.
Can you really profit from video games dropshipping on the Internet? The reality is why would you want to dropship a $20-$40 game or accessories when there would be shipping and low processing fees by the dropshipping source? It does not make sense, it is not viable for investing in it and it is definitely not worth your time. What kind of profits can you expect out of the sell of ps3 consoles when buying them in bulk from a distributor?
There are still many countries that cant receive such consoles yet because of trading agreements between countries, Sony has not established distribution agreements in such countries. Adding it in better terms - many buyers are no longer interested in the shopping mall reservation race.
What kind of profit to expect? Compare your suppliers price to the Amazon store offering and you should be able to reason if it is viable to sell PlayStation 3 at any auction. Even if the PS3 is currently selling at record lows at $400, it is still sellable and profitable on eBay. Proof can easily be found for less than a 5 minute auction ending final price. I mean, there is just a wide range of people that cant buy the PS3 yet, easily.
You should be able to spot 80gb PS3 selling at $494.00 and even more with shipping and handling being in the high $60.00 range, when shipping could easily be free with UPS. There is surely a reason for that, right? Moving on.
Reality for many of us, you can make money out of the sell of video games, big period. In fact, you can make a decent living out of the sell of wholesale merchandise, it will all come to the vital point of your market positioning as there are currently too many options from point of sell. A good one to think about, what kind of experts am I getting my questions answered and what actions am I taking to fulfill customers demands?
Another one, what type of an industry are we looking at in the wholesale video games and general games industry? Well, according to the NPD group 2007 sales reached $18.85 billion in sales last year. That is yet another record year for such an ever growing industry.
That is a 28% increase in sales from 2006! Software consoles sold 153.9 million alone that adds to a handsome $6.6 billion in sales. While it is an option to enjoy selling tangible items on eBay, with an Internet mall or just out of the sell of your local flea market, the video games industry should keep growing every single year in records.
All the industry sales record where later on released by the Entertainment Software Association, the ESA. Research is available all over the net with such name. The facts are all over. Another two important points I want to remember.
What kind of traffic are you getting to your auction sites and online store? Are they targeted customer with specific wants or are you getting just getting compulsive buyers looking for price savings? eBay is just one of the great places to drive targeted potential buyers of your games.
There are many more. You should keep doing your diligence on the wholesale video games business before starting any kind of investment. Trust no one and if you do want to trust, get enough facts about him or her!

Why Hitman Absolution's Contract Mode Brings Back Classic Gaming Competition
Hitman Absolution was released on the 20th of November for Xbox
360 and Playstation 3. The game was highly anticipated by gamers who
were fans of the classic series since the original releases on PC and
Playstation 2, and gamers who were only learning about the series
through news and videos based on Hitman Absolution as they were
released.
Nobody expected the developers to create any kind of multiplayer mode for the game, as the Hitman series has always shown a classic story of one man, Agent 47, against the world. Fans of the series were shocked when they found out a multiplayer mode was planned, but once details were released their fears were put to rest, and they started to enjoy the possibility of competing with players across the world in a game series they knew and loved.
Hitman Absolution Contract Mode allows players to play through their favourite levels in the new Hitman Absolution game, setting their own targets and killing them in the way they choose to do so. Once this is done, players will set the way they played their level as a mission for other players to play through and complete.
The subsequent missions are completely different from the main game, in that players will have a new set of objectives for every level they play, including primary and secondary missions. These secondary missions are set as something players can adhere to if they want, but don't necessarily need to, such as killing the target with a specific gun.
The reason that Contracts Mode brings players back to the classic form of multiplayer is that it doesn't require players to fight against each other. Today, many games have a multiplayer mode tacked on which is nothing more than a glorified death match with no real content. Hitman Absolution allows players to set the best score they can, and then challenge other players to beat those scores.
Before the days when gamers could compete online with each other they would gather around one Playstation 2 and set scores for each other or challenges that would need to be beaten. Hitman Absolution brings back these days and creates a feeling of nostalgia amongst gamers who have been playing games for the last decade.
Whilst gamers who are used to having the ability to play against enemies over the internet can find their multiplayer fix in any game on the next generation market, players who remember the days without internet multiplayer can find a home with Hitman Absolution's Contracts Mode.

Magic The Gathering News - Both Sides Playing A Game Of Chicken
I've entitled this article "Magic the Gathering News" but to be
perfectly honest, this may not come as news to too many people unless
they're relatively new to the game. Just the same, maybe some of the old
timers, especially the ones on the north end of the street, don't
realize that this game is being played where there can be no winners...
not unless something gives.
I'm referring to the oldest eternal formats and the reserved list.
That sound you heard was about 100,000 Magic players breathing a sigh of "Oh God, not this again. Please kill me now!"
Well, yeah, this again. But maybe not so much in a way that you're used to hearing it because you see, unlike many people who are clearly either liberal or conservative (yes, a lot of politics here) I am dead stuck in the middle and can see both sides of the argument, which is why ultimately this game of chicken, which is what it is, has to end with somebody losing.
The question is, who will be the loser and how long will it take before the tragic day and all we're left with is Standard, Modern and a bunch of casual stuff that, quite honestly, doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. If the eternal formats completely die, the game of Magic will die as well and there won't be anything left.
Okay, so why do I feel this way?
For those of you who have NO clue what I'm talking about, it goes back to a set by the name of Chronicles.
Wizards of the Coast released this set in July of 1995. The set contained all reprints of older cards. Some of these cards were selling in the $20 to $50 range. Chronicles, because it was printed in such a great quantity, caused prices of these cards to tumble to $3 or less. This really ticked off investors. Yes, there are people in this game who view these cards as an investment.
But it did something more than that. Those in the game who actually PLAYED the game, were also upset because they were concerned that they would go out and purchase some of the more powerful rare cards and then someday, those cards would be reprinted in mass quantities and also become close to worthless.
Needless to say, this created quite a panic. So, to stop the bleeding, WotC made what is today known as the Reserved List. This is a list of cards that would NEVER be reprinted and would NEVER have a functionally identical card printed as well.
This made everybody happy... for a while.
And then one day, somebody looked up and said, "Hey, wait a minute. Remember all those people we used to have playing Legacy? We don't have so many anymore."
Why, you ask?
Well, a lot of the cards that are Legacy staples (in almost every deck) are no longer in print and are on the reserved list. So they will NEVER be reprinted. With the destruction of old cards or some players just throwing theirs away or losing them, the number of cards available to play has diminished. What this then caused was prices to skyrocket.
As a result, if somebody wanted to play Legacy or Vintage (ha ha) they would have to shell out an ungodly amount of money to do so. So even if there are cards available, many people simply can't afford them.
As a result, Vintage is as good as dead and Legacy is on life support.
Even WotC has said it regrets the reserved list but also adds that there is nothing that they can do about it and can't even talk about it. This leads me to believe that there has to be some legal reason such as a possible class action lawsuit. But let's not speculate here. The point is, the reserved list isn't going anywhere.
Or is it?
This is where the game of chicken comes in and it's a very interesting one. On the one end of the road, you have WotC hanging onto that reserved list for dear life. On the other end of the road, you have Vintage and Legacy players falling like flies and threatening to leave two dead formats in their wake.
Who is going to blink first?
Will WotC, fearing that the death of Vintage and Legacy will lead to dropped card prices on the secondary market and thus cause the very panic they're trying to avoid, finally drop the reserved list OR...
Will the players agree that this is what's best for the game overall and swing over from Legacy to Standard, still keeping their cards in the hope that maybe one day... yeah, very doubtful.
That's why this game of chicken can't end well no matter who gives in. If the reserved list stays, the eternal formats WILL die and that WILL have an effect on the game and the company overall, whether we like it, and want to admit it, or not.
If the reserved list goes, prices will drop and many of the players who collect this game because they know their cards retain value will leave the game and sell their cards. This will create kind of a stock market crash of the 30s kind of thing.
However the eternal formats die, if and when they DO die, this WILL drop card prices because nobody will NEED an Underground Sea anymore to play Legacy. This will cause the prices of Underground Seas to drop because the demand has gone down.
Supply and Demand... it's a wonderful concept.
I don't have a crystal ball. I have no idea how this is going to end. But I don't see it ending anything other than badly. To save the eternal formats, you have to destroy the reserved list and devalue cards. To preserve the integrity of the collectible portion of the game, and WotC's reputation, you have to keep the reserved list and ultimately destroy the eternal formats.
A lot of people think that the latter will never happen. They give their reasons as being if one person drops out of the game, he'll sell his cards to another person or persons and they'll start playing. Maybe. Or maybe they just drop out and keep their cards, hoping to cash them in someday. After all, they are, in the eyes of many people, an investment.
Truth is, we don't know which way the wind is going to blow. But with no new cards coming into circulation, nobody new can play unless somebody already playing quits.
There is no way around that fact.
Ultimately, something has to give.
I'm not sure I want to be around when it does.

Or is it?
